Dhruv Boruah is a curious Activist, an adventurer, investor, speaker and advisor to UK Research & Innovation. His work has been personally endorsed by former British Prime Minister Theresa May MP, the Environment Secretary Michael Gove MP and current Environment Minister Rebecca Pow MP.
After reaching 300 million people worldwide by Cycling ON rivers with his Bamboo Bike collecting plastic litter and raising awareness about the dangers of plastic pollution, Dhruv asked himself – “So What?” Where is the tangible impact? He is now on a mission to convert this reach to 300 million tons of plastic/ carbon tonnage by inspiring & supporting founders who can help him reach the mission.
With diversity, open innovation and cross-pollination as core values, Dhruv runs hackathons with the most recent being the global Coronavirus Hackathon and Ethical Fashion Hackathon with the UN. He currently runs CommonVC – an incubator to help founders solve the world’s biggest challenges that protect the planet and people. His current focus is the circular economy, new materials and he is super excited about using biology & technology to solve these challenges.
